What We Can Work On in the Short Term
You may have a sense of the life you want, while also noticing areas where stress, anxiety, or uncertainty are getting in the way. Sometimes those challenges are clear; other times they emerge once you slow things down. Short-term therapy can help you clarify what’s going on, address what feels most pressing, and start making changes that feel realistic and grounded. Below are some of the ways I typically support clients in this focused, time-limited work.
12-Session Chapters
Many working professionals are navigating increased pressure as career opportunities become more limited and expectations rise. That strain often spills into relationships, family life, and overall well-being. I work in focused 12-session chapters designed to address what’s most pressing—emotionally and practically—so you can regain steadiness and direction without therapy feeling endless. At the end of each 12-week chapter, you’re free to renew for another cycle if it feels helpful. Sessions are available in person in Los Angeles or via telehealth for California residents.
Therapy for GBTQ+ Men
I also offer a specialized 12-session therapy track for gay, bi, queer, transmasculine, and other male or masc-presenting individuals within the LGBTQ+ community. This work provides a structured, affirming space to explore identity, relationships, and mental health within broader cultural and social contexts.
Common areas we explore include:
Sexual orientation & identity
Being out, closeted, or somewhere in between
Self-acceptance & comfort in your own skin
Queerness, culture, and masculinity
Gender roles & stereotypes
Experiences of heterosexism, homophobia, or homonegativity
Relationships, intimacy, and sex
Alcohol & other substance use
Chosen Family & support systems
Religion, spirituality, and meaning (or opting out of them)
Coming Out across different stages of life
Practical coping skills & tools
